Custom Metal Shelving Built for Your Space

Warehouse, archive, retail and workshop shelving made in Kyiv. Sized to your room, engineered for your load, powder coated in any RAL colour.

We manufacture custom metal shelving at our own facility in Kyiv. Warehouse, archive, retail, workshop or garage units — sized to your room and engineered for the weight you actually plan to store. The frame is welded from profile tube, the shelves are sheet steel, and the finished rack is powder coated in any RAL colour.

Why custom instead of off-the-shelf

A ready-made metal rack from a DIY store is a fine solution as long as your needs match the standard ones. The mismatches start quickly:

  • Dimensions. Standard sections never use the space fully: half a metre is lost under the ceiling, and alcoves are left with gaps nothing fits into. We build the rack exactly to your walls, height and aisles.
  • Load. A household shelf takes 50–100 kg and sags under more. You tell us what you will store — metal, tools, pallets, archives — and we size the profile and upright spacing for that weight with a safety margin.
  • Design. Odd-sized bays for long stock, inclined shelves for wheels, edge lips, hangers, a reinforced bottom shelf for a bench — all of that is a drawing question, not a catalogue question.

Shelving we build

  • Warehouse shelving — sectional and fully welded, for boxes, bins and tools; ceiling-height units, shelf loads from 100 to 500+ kg.
  • Pallet racking — for Euro pallets, with beams sized to pallet weight and floor anchoring.
  • Retail shelving — shop racks and display units sized to the sales floor, painted in your brand colour.
  • Archive shelving — closely spaced shelves for documents, maximum capacity per square metre.
  • Workshop and garage — reinforced shelves for tools and parts, worktops, holders for long stock.
  • Special-purpose — built around a specific product or process: drying racks, transport racks, in-process storage.

Structure and materials

The frame is 20×20…60×40 mm profile tube depending on the load; shelves are 1.5–3 mm sheet with a folded stiffening edge, or grid shelves made of bar. Joints are welded or bolted: a welded rack is stiffer, a bolted one is easier to move and reconfigure. For damp rooms we build shelving from galvanized or stainless steel.

Every rack is welded in a jig, so the sections come out identical and square, and then goes through powder coating: the finish survives scratches from crates and does not peel the way ordinary enamel does.

Sizing and loads: how we calculate them

Shelving is designed around what will sit on it. Boxes of documents and household items come to 30–50 kg per shelf, cases of fasteners and tins of paint to 80–120 kg, wheels and bags of dry mix to 150 kg and up. You give us the weight and the size of the goods; we choose the upright section, the shelf thickness and the support spacing with margin.

The second factor is span: a shelf longer than a metre works as a beam, and it is the span rather than the metal thickness that governs deflection. A 2 m unit is therefore not simply a longer version but a structure with an intermediate upright or a reinforced shelf. Typical shelf spacing is 35–45 cm at 40–50 cm depth — all of it adjusted to your boxes rather than the other way round.

Shelving for homes, garages and workshops

Domestic shelving is its own category. In a garage the metal lives in condensation, so the finish matters more than load capacity: powder coating does not scrape off under boxes and does not mind damp. In a workshop what counts is depth suited to specific tools and the ability to move shelves when the equipment changes.

For homes and storerooms, shelving is usually ordered to fit a recess: height to the ceiling, width exactly between the walls, the bottom shelf raised so you can clean underneath. Those few centimetres into the recess are the difference between something that merely fits and something that looks built in.

Buying off the shelf or ordering your own

Ready-made shelving is cheaper and available immediately — a fair advantage. But it comes in standard sizes, and a real room almost always leaves dead space: 20 cm to the wall, 40 cm to the ceiling, the wrong depth. Together that is tens of per cent of usable volume.

Made-to-order shelving uses the whole room and is engineered for your load rather than an average one. The price difference is smaller than it looks, particularly per section in a batch. And custom shelving has a manufacturer you can go back to for another section a year later — one that will match exactly.

What custom shelving costs

The price depends on dimensions, load and the number of sections: the bigger the batch, the cheaper each section, because cutting and welding run as a series. A custom rack costs more than the cheapest household unit from a DIY store, but the honest comparison is with ready-made racks of the same load rating — and there the difference is usually small, while the dimensions and design are entirely yours.

How ordering works

  • You describe the task: dimensions, weight, what you store. A drawing is not required — we will prepare the sketch ourselves.
  • We agree the design, number of sections and colour, and confirm the price and lead time.
  • Laser cutting, welding and coating — all in one workshop.
  • We deliver across Kyiv and the region, and can assemble and anchor the racks on site.

Typical lead time is from a few days to two weeks depending on volume. Describe your task in the form below — we will suggest a design and quote the cost.

The price depends on dimensions, shelf load and the number of sections. A series is always cheaper per section than a single unit. Send the dimensions and what you will store — we will quote within one business day.

Whatever we engineer it for: from 100 kg for archive units to 500 kg and more for warehouse racks. You name the weight — we size the frame profile, shelf thickness and upright spacing with a safety margin.

Yes — that is the main reason to order custom instead of buying ready-made. We build to your walls, alcoves, ceiling height and aisle widths, so the space is used completely.

Either. A welded rack is stiffer and cheaper; a bolted one is easier to transport and rearrange. We will recommend the right option for your task.

Yes, we build from one section up. A batch is simply better value per section, because cutting and welding run as a series.

Powder coating in any RAL colour: the finish resists scratches and moisture. For damp rooms we offer galvanized or stainless steel without paint.

Yes, we deliver across Kyiv and the region. Large racks arrive as sections and are assembled on site; where needed we anchor them to the floor or wall.
