We apply images and lettering to metal with a laser. Unlike printing or a sticker, engraving doesn't wear off or fade: the mark sits in the metal itself, so the inscription survives washing, oil and years of service. We handle both one-off items and serial part marking.
The laser beam alters the metal surface point by point — depending on the mode, this looks like a light matte mark, a dark high-contrast image or a recessed engraving. The process is computer-controlled, so:
The best results are on stainless steel: the contrast comes out crisp and durable, which is why it's the usual choice for nameplates and marking. Mild steel, aluminum (including anodized — on it the lettering comes out light on a colored background), brass and copper also engrave well.
Engraving is also possible on an already painted surface: the laser removes the paint layer and exposes the metal — this is how high-contrast lettering is made on powder coating.
For manufacturers, engraving solves the traceability problem: every part gets a unique number or code that can't get lost the way a sticker can. This matters for critical assemblies, equipment undergoing certification, and products serviced for years.
We apply marking both as a standalone service on your parts and as part of the full cycle — when we make the product ourselves and mark it right away.
The cost depends on the area and density of the image: a thin outline inscription takes seconds, while solid filling of a large area takes far longer. Then come material, quantity, and whether fixtures are needed to position the parts in a batch.

Best of all — a vector file: DXF, SVG, EPS or AI. Vector graphics scale without quality loss, and the lines come out crisp.
A raster image (JPG, PNG) works too, but it must be high-resolution and high-contrast — the laser reproduces halftones only to a limited extent, so a photo is best simplified into graphics beforehand. Convert the text in the artwork to curves, otherwise the font may get substituted.

Engraving is most often ordered as part of a package: we laser-cut the part, bend and paint it if needed, and then apply the marking or logo — all at one production site, with no shipping back and forth. We work the same way with perforated panels when a pattern needs to be complemented with lettering.
